For our client, we are seeking a AI Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Technical Services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

Design AI systems capable of reasoning and retrieving information across enterprise tools
Translate business use cases into structured workflows, detailing tasks and data schemas
Evaluate and prioritize AI use cases based on feasibility and business impact
Define the MVP scope and oversee AI systems development based on priorities
Develop and optimize LLM-powered systems with effective prompt architectures
Build scalable retrieval pipelines for structured and unstructured data
Create reusable AI services and APIs to enhance internal applications
Refine prototypes into reliable, production-ready AI systems
Monitor and enhance system performance metrics in live environments

Qualifications

3-6 years of software engineering or applied AI experience, focused on production systems
Strong proficiency in Python with backend services and APIs development experience
Hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications in production settings
Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and document ingestion techniques
Ability to design complex prompt architectures and structured outputs for AI systems
Experience managing real-world data challenges like messy and incomplete datasets
Strong grasp of balancing trade-offs such as accuracy, latency, and cost in LLM contexts
