About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Google AI Engineer to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in expanding our Google Cloud AI engineering capabilities to support the Department of War (DoW) programs. As a Senior Google AI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and operationalizing production-grade AI systems on Google Cloud platforms. Your expertise will directly impact mission outcomes by delivering secure, scalable, and efficient AI solutions tailored to complex government needs. You will serve as a technical leader, guiding cross-functional teams of data, platform, and application engineers to ensure that all solutions meet stringent security and compliance standards required for government operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as Looker, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and other AI/ML tools.
Proven track record of designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML systems in cloud environments.
Strong understanding of MLOps practices, data engineering, and scalable architecture design.
Experience working in secure, high-stakes government or defense environments with strict security and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex mission needs into technical solutions.
Effective communication skills and the ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and systems on Google Cloud that meet mission requirements and security standards.
Lead technical efforts in building scalable, secure, and reliable AI solutions for DoW programs.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to translate mission needs into technical specifications and actionable deliverables.
Implement best practices in MLOps to streamline model deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production environments.
Ensure all AI solutions comply with government security protocols and data governance policies.
Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, cloud technologies, and security standards to continuously improve solution quality.
